Cedar Park students will attend one of two highly rated school districts serving the city. Those living in the southern and east areas of Cedar Park will attend schools within the award-winning Round Rock Independent School District such. Elementary schools within RRISD include: Purple Sage Elementary, Spicewood Elementary, Anderson Mill Elementary, and Forest North Elementary. Middle schools include Deer Park, Canyon Vista, and Grisham Middle Schools with Westwood and McNeil serving as the area’s high schools.
Other portions of Cedar Park will attend recognized schools within Leander Independent School District (www.leanderisd.org) Elementary schools for LISD include Ada Mae Faubion Elementary and Cypress Elementary School. There is one middle school within this district, Cedar Park Middle School. You’ll also find this area of the city is served by one high school, Cedar Park High School.
Cedar Park Independent School District also holds a partnership with local community college campuses to prepare students for college. University of Texas is the closest university for Cedar Park.

Where Cedar Park is Located
Cedar Park is conveniently located in the northwest tip of Austin, Texas and is governed by Williamson County. Nearby access to major highways and toll roads make getting around to major employers, shopping, and entertainment a breeze. From Cedar Park you can commute east to Round Rock in about 15 minutes using Ranch Road 1431 or the 45 Toll Road. Leander is to the northwest in less than 10 minutes. If you work in Downtown Austin you’ll find the commute is about 25 minutes, without heavy traffic, taking US 183 to Interstate 35 or accessing the 183A toll road. Mopac, also known as Loop 1, makes getting to south areas of Austin easier.
